Frances Lorraine Stubbs Nation died March 9, 2012 in Lexington, KY. Born in Atlanta on February 15th, 1919, Frances was the second child born to William and Sarah Stubbs. After moving several times during her childhood, she returned to Atlanta during her teenage years to graduate from Fulton County High School in 1937. She married Grady Nation in 1942 and had two daughters, Carol Mailfald and Pat Nation who reside in Lexington, KY. Over the course of her life Frances was a homemaker and an agent with Clover Realty of Atlanta. An activity she truly loved was being an active member of her church. Frances was preceded in death by her sister, Ruth Huff, her brother, John Stubbs, and her granddaughter, Allyson Mailfald. She is survived by her husband of 69 years and her daughters. Frances will be missed by all who knew her. Funeral services celebrating Mrs. Nation’s life will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Dunwoody Baptist Church, 1445 Mt. Vernon Road, Dunwoody, GA 30338. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorials in her memory be given to the Benevolent Ministries of Dunwoody Baptist Church. Arrangements by Floral Hills Funeral Home, Tucker, GA.
