Elizabeth Pennington DeHaan, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and passionate disciple of Jesus Christ went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 28, 2022.
Penny was born on March 27, 1940 and raised in Decatur, GA, the 2nd child of Walton and Rosalynn Bobo and born after her brother Earl.
Counted among the gifts of her childhood were close family, lifelong friends, a comfortable home and a solid education. Out of these grew her love for life, tremendous spunk and devotion to others.
She was a student and teacher of the Bible throughout her life, beginning with her family and extending to countless Sunday School classes, women’s Bible studies, retreats and even to her retirement home. Her example of faith and prayer through both trials and triumphs gave her entire extended family a priceless and imperishable spiritual legacy.
Penny is survived by her 4 children, 15 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren to whom she was unfailingly generous, of whom she was enormously proud and for whom she tirelessly prayed:
Son, Steve (Missy) Crosby, their children: William Crosby, Hope Crosby, Emily Crosby. She is also survived by her sister-in-law and best friend, Linda Bobo and several beloved nieces and nephews.
