It seems like only yesterday that Donna had moved you youngsters to Montgomery for work.  Dick and Dan and I were also new at the station, and we delighted to hear Donna's love for her children. (Except maybe the Coors incident in south Alabama).  It was great to see her when the old group would get together.  I am so sorry that we couldn't locate her after the move from Lauderdale Drive.

The Lees and I have been trying to locate Donna for 3 years to let her know Dan passed away. I am so sorry for your loss. She was a good

Donna was so blessed to be surrounded by such loving people.  I pray you will find peace and consolation in knowing you took care of her.  God bless your families.

Donna, it was a blessing to have cared for you the last seven months here with us.  So many unanswered questions, differences worked out and precious, precious, moments.  We laughed, shared much and grew in love as you prepared yourself spiritually to pass from this world into the next.  No, every moment was not paradise, but we celebrated life!  "Eternal rest grant unto her Oh Lord and may perpetual light shine upon her."  And may the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace.  May the peace of Christ that transcends all human understanding be brought on the family in every way shape and form.

Dear Becky and family,
I was deeply sadden to hear the news of your mother's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of Donna and you from our childhood days in San Lorenzo, CA.  Your mother was a role model of independence and grace.  In more recent years, my family and I always looked forward to seeing Donna at family gatherings.  She always made my family feel loved and accepted, especially my son, Mark, with all his special needs.  My family and I will miss  her beautiful smile.

Our thoughts here on the West coast are with you at this time.  Donna built and maintained strong relationships particularly with Mariam's sister, Gail,  my mom, and my sister, Louise.  She was a frequent attendee to our gala birthday parties for Gail. We called them Shahoogananys. She was a fun engaging person and will be missed.

You, Becky, Chis and Steven and families are in my thoughts and heart as you work thought Donna's passing.  While I know the last months were difficult and the end a relief and blessing,  the finality can still be wrenching.  Know that your sorrow is shared.
Donna was very special to me.  When she came out west for family celebrations, she brought a zest for living, warmth and a bit of southern charm.  We had such good times.
Donna planted an apple tree in my yard in memory of my brother Ken.  I will enjoy those apples in memory of her now too.  I miss her.
