David Andrew Beaty

1924-2017

David Andrew Beaty 93, of Tucker, GA passed away on Friday, November 10,2017 surrounded by family. David was born January 11, 1924 in Charleston, Tennessee, the son of the late Andrew Thomas and Jennie Alice Beaty. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army/Airforce where he became a pilot and served in World War II. After his service ended, he went on to graduate from Emory University. For 33 years, David was a Medical Marketing Manager for Gerber Products. In addition to being a devoted husband, father and grandfather, David enjoyed U.S. history, family genealogy, and growing roses. He also enjoyed traveling. After retiring, he visited Alaska and traveled to Scotland to further his family genealogy research. David is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mable Lucille Smith Beaty, daughter JoAnn Beaty Kerr, son David Lee (Lynn) Beaty, as well as his grandchildren, Pam (Kyle) Davis, Jennifer Beaty, Tim Kerr, Matthew (Jesica) Beaty, Kyle Beaty, and one great-grandchild, Lucy Joy Davis. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 2:00 pm at Faith Community Church, 800 Grayson Parkway, Grayson, GA with Pastor Steve Mason officiating.
