I'm sad to say that I just learned about Chris passing away today! Sending my deepest sympathies to Roni and Jeffery and all those who love Christopher... I am still in shock. I was reading the sweet and thoughtful words he sent me the last time we spoke. I will cherish those... God Bless You RIP

Chris not a day goes by that I don't think of you.  You are greatly missed.  I still want to go to your desk to talk to you.  You became a true friend in the short time we knew each other.  All my Love

I was so shocked and sadden to hear of his passing. I went to school with Chris until 8th grade at Lourdes in Bettendorf. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Chris, it has been more then a week now since your passing, and I still can't believe your gone.  Your death at 34 stocked so many of us from Key West up to Atlanta and Iowa.  You touched so many lives & knew so many people in the short time you were with us.  It is very true what they say - if a man's riches is counted by the number of friends he had and by the number of lives he touch - you certainly were a very rich man.  We will never forget you - RIP my friend.

As I sit here, pondering my life... past, present and future... I find myself focused on the years we've been friends and the things I've learned from you. 
The most important thing you did was teach me your lesson of fearlessness. The importance of carrying yourself with confidence at all times. I could never thank you enough, and wish I had one last chance to tell you.

Your enthusiasm, charm, smile and wit will remain in my memory forever. 

Rest well, my friend... Be at peace... Watch over us.... and keep smiling.

In cherished memory towards Chris Tripp:

I remember that night as I sat outside in my sister's car; I looked up and I didn't see any stars in the sky, and the thought that came to my mind was it was as if every star fell out of the sky that night taking with it every hope, every dream, and every wish Chris and I had for tomorrow. And then it began to sprinkle as if heaven knew and understood the weight of my reality and it cried with me.

We have to stop and think about how precious, valuable, and quick life can be. We wake up and we spend our time planning our tomorrows; the concerts we are looking to enjoy, the birthdays to celebrate, the trips to take, the events to attend, and so forth, but as we focused on these possibilities; life is planning an end to our today. I was told a joke recently; if you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.

I wished I had unpacked some of the boxes we packed up in our lives; because inside I found treasures and memories that I had forgotten. These lost moments that once brought us so much joy and laughter found their way into boxes, tucked in closets, placed on shelves, and left behind, abandoned, and buried. In all relationships there will be conflicts and arguments, doubt will creep in but if given the opportunity to provide advice to anyone; I would say unpack the boxes of your past, build new bonds by rediscovering the things that brought you together, and laugh, cry, smile, and learn. Cherish the moments you have, stop filing all digital pictures under a folder, and instead print them out and sit with each other and talk about those moments. 

I think about the people I've lost in my past co-workers, friends, grandparents, my dad and all brought on grief, pain, sorrow and at times anger, but I have never lost a part of my soul until now. I love Chris with all my heart. And if we have any Dr. Who fans you'd understand this reference. I would've been his “Last Centurion” and I would've waited 2000 years for his love to find it's way back to me.

I love Chris so much, sometimes I didn't tell him enough or show him enough. It's easy to become comfortable with the routine of life. I'll miss his smile, his laugh, him asking me, "Can I ask you a question?" before asking me a question. I'll miss packing his lunch, cutting up his fruit, the notes he would leave me on my bathroom mirror. I'll miss the emails that meant nothing to me, the random text asking how my day is going, or the phone call asking me if I need anything. He was a beautiful, charismatic, compassionate, caring, sassy, smart, and perfect for me soul. You'll always be in my heart and home.

I was his rock, the calm to his storm; and he was my beast to my beauty, my strength and inspiration, the part to my whole, and always the counterpart, he was the salt, and I the pepper. I will always love you, I miss you so much and I wish you were home.

Chris was a good friend of mine in high school. He was a great listener, and could always make me laugh when I needed it most. He was my date for one of our formal dances, and we had a wonderful time. Though his life has ended way too soon, he certainly made a positive impact on mine, and I'm so grateful for that.

You were a beautiful person, inside and out!  You always made me smile.  Miss you so bad!  May you rest in peace!

My dear friend: we will always love you and cherish the years we were honored with your amazing spirit. You had a way if lighting up a room with your beautiful smile.

Lighting a candle for you Chris.  It will never burn nearly as bright as your smile and it won't come close to lighting up a room the way you did. You will be missed by so many whose lives you touched and changed.
