Carolyn Ann Philo, of Clarkston, Georgia went home to rest with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 27, 2024. Carolyn was born on June 14, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia to Irene Pounds and Charles Amos Davis. She was raised in Avondale with her brother, Giles, and attended Avondale High School.
Following graduation, she went on to attend Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Georgia where she met and married Charles Earl Philo, Jr. After college, Carolyn and Charles moved to Clarkston, Georgia, where they raised three children. She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.
Carolyn was a devout Christian who loved cooking, writing, and raising her family. She dedicated her life to being a homemaker. For years, she hosted her children and grandchildren at her home where many traditions were held and fond memories made.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles and her parents, Irene and Amos Davis.
Carolyn leaves a legacy of love in her family. She is survived by her 3 children; Kristi (David), Tony (Becky), and Melanie; 8 Grandchildren: Courtney (Daniel) Paz, Autumn Philo, Allen Bracewell, Carson (Brian) Viole, Joel Bracewell, Cassidy Philo, Charis Philo, Jenna King; 7 great-grandchildren: Chrissa, Elena, Rosalia & Ariella Paz, Julian & Dominik Viole, Ava Bracewell; her brother, Giles (Sandy) Davis, niece Kelly (Jon) Pittman and their children Harper, Reese, and Hunter.
A graveside service will be held at Floral Hills Funeral Home and Memory Gardens on Lawrenceville Hwy. in Tucker, Georgia on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at 3:00pm.
