She is preceded in death by her husband Rex Justice, parents David and Lillie Strain DeLamar, brother Glover DeLamar, and sisters Martha Mozelle White, Edith Lanier, and Lorene Brandenburg all originally from LaGrange, GA.

Bobbie married Rex Justice, a WWII Army Veteran, on October 1, 1948. They were happily married for 43 years until his passing in 1991. They lived in LaGrange, GA and had so many happy memories with friends and family. Rex and Bobbie were quite the pair and impressed many with their legendary jitterbug dancing skills. They briefly lived in Gainesville, FL before moving to Atlanta in 1959. In 1965, they moved to Tucker where they raised their two children.
Bobbie’s unwavering faith in God, strong family values, and spirited personality were admired by many. She spent countless hours volunteering and contributing to the Tucker community. Bobbie was a member of the Tucker Garden Club in the ‘60s, worked for Buice and Johnson Builders in the ‘70’s before going to work at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker where she worked for 29 years. Not only did she work at the church full-time, but she was a very active member and devoted countless hours volunteering in the church library, nursery and at other activities.
In 2001, she moved to Lawrenceville to be closer to her two children and grandchildren. She quickly met many new friends, referred to as the “golden girls” by her family. These lovely ladies spent many years getting together for lunch and card games.
Bobbie absolutely loved her family, especially her cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Brent, Jennifer, Kerri and her great-granddaughter Addie. She always looked forward to big family dinners and getting together at the holidays. Bobbie often reminisced about the many vacations to Florida and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, camping trips to the mountains and more. She was an Elvis fan and especially loved the movie Blue Hawaii. She later fulfilled a longtime dream of taking the entire family on a very memorable trip to Hawaii.
Bobbie’s life will be celebrated Sunday, February 4, 2018 with Visitation at 1:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm at Floral Hills Funeral Home in Tucker. Richard Kimsey will be officiating. Music will be provided by vocalist Dave Adkins of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, and pianist Fran Thrailkill of Lilburn, GA. The family of Bobbie Justice wishes to thank the Kindred Hospice for their assistance and support.
