Alton Hartley

He is survived by Jacquelyn Hartley, his only child, from his first marriage to Cynthia Uhl-Hartley. He is also survived by three step children, from his second marriage to Kathleen Hartley: Karla Huff, Kyle Von Seggern, and Kevin Von Seggern, and their children.

He was born in Atlanta, Georgia. He grew up in Kirkwood and Avondale. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial Engineering and the University of Georgia School of Law. At Georgia Tech, he played baseball and was in the Beta Theta Pi fraternity.

He was an attorney with a practice in Decatur, Georgia. He was a fan of Georgia Tech athletics, particularly football and baseball, for all of his life. He loved attending the Georgia Tech games with his friends.

A funeral is scheduled for Friday, October 28 at Floral Hills Funeral Home at 150 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, GA 30084. A gathering of fellowship for the remembrance of Alton will begin there at 10 AM, with the service to follow at 11 AM. All are welcome to attend and celebrate.
