Joyce A. Rose

Joyce A. Rose, age 83 of Traverse City, passed away on January 14, 2014. Loving wife of the late Keith. Cherished mother of Linda (Glenn) Watkins of Gaylord, Chris (Rose) of Bay City, Sherry (Ronald) Sheffer of Traverse City, Daniel (Marcia) of Colorado, Debra (Mike) Blonshine of Traverse City, Mark (Michelle) of Pennsylvania, Karen (the late Brian) Sumner of Traverse City and the late Kevin. Dear grammie to Angie, Alyssa, Glenn “Buck”, Michael, Jeremy, Jessica, Preston, Aaron, Shawn, Jason, Skyler, Daniel Jr., Jenni, Annaka, Maxine, Marshal, Maranda, Jordan, Kurstin, Amber, Justine and several great grandchildren. The family would like to give special thanks to a very special lady; Brenda who took very good care of mom.

Joyce was born on September 8, 1931 in Bay City. She married Keith on September 10, 1949, just 2 days after her 18th birthday. Keith and Joyce moved to Traverse City in 1972. Joyce worked in the food industry her whole life. After retirement, she enjoyed reading on the Kindle, playing casino games on her tablet, going to the casino and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2015; 4-8pm with a rosary service at 7pm at Covell Funeral Home in Traverse City. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2015; 10am with visitation on hour prior to the service at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
