Life is alot better. I've been clean for years now. I just bought my seccond home. I also just bought a 2024 sport cadillac. I wish you were here. I want to show you what my life is today so bad. I think I might be seeing you someday soon.

Denny was certainly one of the cool kids in the neighborhood.  I remember him zipping by our house in his hot mustang. God speed and our condolences to his family.

Hey Denny--This is for you. I have been thinking of you all day. On the day of your funeral. So many things come back to me. When I came home from work the group Chicago was on the radio. The song 24 or 6 to 4 came on and I went over the edge. It brought back memories of our teenage years cruising in your yellow mustang. When we first started cruising at night--you had an 8 track cassett player and you popped in Chicago. I had never heard of the group and from that point on it seemed like 25 or 6 to 4 or Grand Funk's "Closer to Home." I have had "Closer to Home" in my IPOD for about a year and as I walk after work I listen to "Closer to Home" and think of you and feel now you are "Closer to Home." My sincere condolences to Denny's family.   I met him in his Brownwood days and he surely did keep us entertained when the pressure was on.  His humor, insight and charisma was legendary....his smile comes to mind instantly. He had alot of great friends and broke quite a few hearts.

I haven't seen you since school, But what I remember (one of my fondest memories) is sitting in class. Everybody has their head down reading whatever we were told to read, it's so quiet, pure silence, and then a loud shrill scream from across the room, which makes everyone jump or scramble, but when we look over at you, You're still sitting quietly with your head down reading as if nothing had happened. Denny was at Brownwood when I started my work life and he always made it easy, On my first or secound night there, Gary and Sharon brought a plate back that was dirty and let us dishwashers have it real good, rightly so! But when they left the kitchen he came over to me and said (that wasn't you man,don't sweat it. He made it easier. when he would give us younger guys a hard time for sport, he always gave you that smile when he was done lettin us know he was just goofin on us. He will always be remembered.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Denny's family.  We haven't seen Denny in quite a few years, but we have great memories of him.

My deepest sympathy to Denny's family.  The first memory I have of Denny is slicked back hair and pointy shoes..he was Mister Bad Boy from Detroit.  He was always such a good friend to me. My prayers go out to Denny's family. Denny was my best friend throughout high school and the early parts of my life. Many people confused me and Denny because at the time (our hippy years)our hair was about the same length and we both worked at Brownwood. I guess because Denny and I were similar in many ways--we had good chemisty and were able to communicate many times just by using our body language. We did not have to speak to know what the other was thinking. That is not to say Denny was not a good listener. Many times Denny encouraged me to be the best I could be. I hope I didn't let him down. Not many weeks go by when I don't think back fondly to our early years and Denny's passing will not change that. I will always remember Denny's squinting Clint Eastwood look and his sinister little smile. Denny was truly one of a kind and I hope when I reach heaven--Denny is the first one to welcome me.

I remember Denny from when I last lived in Traverse City over 14 years ago.  Denny was a great Step Dad!  He was the type who would tell it like it is.  I learned about the "real world" from Denny.  Coming from a small town into the massive US Military, Denny prepared me for the tough love and streetsmarts that has helped me excel in my carrer so far.  I will continue to use the knowlege he has passed on to me and pass it onto my sons.
