Wiley Montgomery was born on May 23, 1949 in San Francisco California to Mamie and Grant Montgomery. Wiley was a member of Being Empowered Ministry Church in Inglewood, California. He graduated from Centennial High School in Los Angeles, California.
He married Helen in a union which continued for 50 years . Upon graduating he entered into the service in 1970 and soon after became a lifelong trucker while dedicating his life to his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the road. He continued to devote his life to his work and his love for his grand(great) grandchildren.
Wiley loved music, trucking, cracking jokes with his family and spending quality time with his great-grandchildren; because as he would say, " I need somebody to play with." He enjoyed playing chess with Khyler (great-grandson) and trucking with Khyler and Josiah (great-grandson).
On July 29,2021 Wiley was renewed in both body and spirit, as God called him home. That day he joined his parents, Mamie (Grant) Montgomery and grandson Dajon. He now basks in the glory of God alongside them.
Also on this day, he temporarily separated from his wife ,Helen; daughter, LaShawn; son, Johnny; grandchildren, La'Cresha, Dajon, Destiny, Dana, Deja, Donovan, Jonesha, Damaris, Princess, Janiyah; great-grandchildren, Khyler, Katelynn, Kendrick, Micah, Josiah, Isiah ; Sister, Loretha Morton; brother, Johnny Montgomery; sisters, Mamie, Lorraine, Evelyn and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins leaving them all to cherish memories for his light, love, and laughter and to look with hope the day they see him again.
