After a long illness, Bob died peacefully in his sleep on January 1, 2011, at his home in Torrance, with his dedicated caregiver, Noel, at his side. Bob was born May 30, 1921, in Los Angeles, California. Served in the Air Force during WW II, and worked for Pacific Telephone, retiring in 1983. Married to his loving wife Betty for 60 years until her death in 2005. Survived by son Steve and daughter-in-law Carlene, sons Bill and Brad, 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday, January 10, 2011, at 11 am at the Sovereign Grace Bible Church in Redondo Beach, 101 South Pacific Coast Highway. Visitation will be held 1 hour before services at the church. Interment will be at Green Hills Memorial Cemetery following the church services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
