Ralph G. Eredia, "Ralphie", a 30-year resident of the South Bay area passed away at the age of 56 on Friday, April 30, 2010 in Torrance, California. He was born in San Pedro, went to school in the Torrance and Carson area and graduated from Carson High School in the class of 1971. Most of his adult life he lived in Park City, Utah. With an infectious smile and big heart, Ralphie (Raul as he was known in Park City) loved people and the outdoors. He was a surfer, skier, sailor, basketball and softball player, a craftsman and a camper. He will truly be missed.
Ralphie is survived by his parents, Ralph and Olga Eredia of Carson, California; son, Donald Eredia of Henderson, Nevada; brother, Julian (Sharon) Almaraz of Mooresville, North Carolina and sisters Teri (Evan) McArthur of Medford, Oregon; Armida (Randy) Sharp of Long Beach, California; and Michelle Johnson of Carson, California.
A Memorial Service will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at 2:00 pm, followed by a Reception in the Lighthouse Room.
