Ralph Ortega Eredia

Ralph Ortega Eredia passed away on February 13, 2015 at the age of 88. He was born on July 12, 1926 in Clarkdale, Arizona but made his home in Southern California for over 66 years. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1946.

Ralph was a happy-go-lucky guy who enjoyed being around people. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. Besides his family, he enjoyed going to the horse races, dancing, watching the L.A. Dodger games, western movies and bowling. He stopped bowling at the age of 82. He will be missed by many who loved him.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 66 years, Olga, and his children, Julian (Sharon) of Mooresville, NC; Teri (Evan) of Medford, OR; Armida (Randy) of Long Beach, CA; and Michelle (Dexter) of Carson, CA and his twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Ralph.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Rice Mortuary in Torrance on Tuesday, February 24 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory can be made to the charity of your choice.
