MILLER-COOK, PEARL MYRTLE (ROLLERT), most recently of Hawthorne, California, passed away on Friday, December 31, 2010 at the age of 85 years old in Torrance, California. She was born October 3, 1925 in the Dodge County township of Elba, Wisconsin and lived in Watertown, Wisconsin. Before moving to California, Pearl was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Ashippun, Wisconsin where she was baptized, and in 1946 married Raymond Miller. Pearl is survived by her daughters, Dixie Miller of Desert Hot Springs, CA; Dinah (Chris) Rich of Salt Lake City, UT; and Darlene (Ralph) Shima of Hawthorne, CA; her three grandchildren, Christopher Shima of Torrance, CA; Kristine Werner of Newbury Park, CA; and Daryn Rich of Salt Lake City, UT; six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; three sisters, Myrtle Jahnz of Neosho, Wisconsin, June (Arthur) Ward of Marshall, Wisconsin, Vera (Harold) Neitzel of Reeseville, Wisconsin; a brother Edwin (Kay) Rollert of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, and half-brother, Harold (Red) McGovern from Waterloo, Wisconsin, as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Emma (Prietz) Rollert, and her husband, Wendell Cook. A private burial service was held January 4, 2011 at Green Hills Memorial Park, Rancho Palos Verdes, California.
