

Michael Louis Fucci, of Manhattan Beach, passed away among family and friends on July 1, 2014. He was born in Inglewood, CA on November 24, 1947 to Louis Michael and Una Hope Fucci. He graduated from Loyola University with a degree in history. He married Tina on November 29, 1974. A destined entrepreneur, he started Loyola Trucking at the age of 22, followed by Del Rey Trucking. Mike was passionate about history, politics, baseball, faith, family, and supporting numerous charities in Los Angeles. He and Tina traveled the world together and always looked forward to their next adventure. Mike is survived by his wife Tina; children, Kristin (Chris) Scherlacher and Patrick Fucci (fiancée Karin Long); grandchildren, Kate, Quinn and Brooke Scherlacher; sisters Maureen (Ron) Croft and Arleen (Bill) Reich. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the following organizations: Manhattan Beach Little League at mbya.org; Loyola Marymount University at lmu.edu; or the American Liver Foundation at liverfoundation.org. A Celebration of Life will be held at American Martyrs Church in Manhattan Beach, where he was a long-standing member, at 11am on July 12, 2014.
