Mary passed away in the comfort of her home on May 28, 2012, at age 81. Survived by her children Donna and husband Adrian, Timothy and wife Marcella, and Matthew and wife Debbie, and preceded in death by their father Harold Robinson. Loving grandmother of Nicholas, Daniel, Elizabeth and Kathleen; and of Candice, Dana and Danielle, and survived by their mother Debbie Dale. Adoring great-grandmother of Mason, Maddox, and Orbison. Also preceded in death by her parents James and Marcella Moreton, and by her brother Bill Moreton. Survived by her brother Jim Moreton and wife Brigid, by her brother Msgr. John Moreton, by Bill's wife Kaye, and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was a member of St. James Catholic Parish for fifty years, an active volunteer to the Parish in many capacities, and cheerful worker at the St. James Information Center. She was a faithful Catholic who lived humbly and simply with God through daily prayer and steadfast devotion to the Rosary. She will always be remembered for her deep sense of love for her family and friends. She gave and received great joy at family get-togethers; she loved being surrounded by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and listening to their adventures. Mary loved Chevy Chase films, and enjoyed the simple pleasure of shopping for exactly the right birthday and other life event cards - which she never failed to send out on time. Her brief experience working in a Hallmark store was a dream come true! She was very proud of her Irish/Welsh roots. When times seemed daunting, her inner strength shined through and, after giving her all, was known to remark, "I thought I'd seen everything!" And, indeed, she had seen much as a member of our country's "Greatest Generation." Mary has left as her greatest legacy a strong family, each member of which carries her humor, strength, and compassion in their hearts. She supported with great passion all those who served in the Armed Forces including members of her family. The care of our Wounded Warriors was especially near to her heart. In lieu of flowers, Mary's family requests donations in her memory to the WoundedWarriorProject.org .Family and friends are invited to attend the Rosary and Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Saturday, June 9 at 10am, at St James Catholic Church, 415 Vincent Street, Redondo Beach. Private interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Culver City.
