Kenneth Merton Howe was born on February 9, 1940 in Los Angeles, California, the second son of Cody (Ray) and Mildred Howe. He passed away at Kaiser Permanente in Harbor City, California on Thursday April 7, 2022.
Ken attended both South Gate and Jordan High School and grew up in Watts, California. Ken met his wife, Carol Cragin, when he was 26 and they were married at St. Anthony of Padua in Gardena, CA. They moved to Gardena where they would live for over 50 years and have three children together.
Ken worked for over 30 years as a Traffic Manager in the Bindery Industry for various companies including Cushion Cut and Automated Bindery. He attended St. Anthony of Padua and was a devoted parishioner to the church. Ken was a church usher, fiesta booth chairman and on the church counting team till his eyesight failed him.
Ken enjoyed various sports and was devoted fan of USC Football and the Dodgers. Ken was an avid bowler for most of his life and loved to partake in various forms of gambling including horse racing and trips to the casino. Ken was also a pet lover and was known for his kindness to his pet dogs as well as his love for walking.
Ken was survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol Howe and their three sons, James (54), William (51) and Thomas (47) as well six grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Gardena, Calfornia, Wednesday April 27, 2022 at 11 am. We hope you can join us for the celebration of his life and legacy.
