June lost her battle with Alzheimer's and passed away on August 22. She was eighty one years old. She is survived by her husband Donald Burns, two daughters, Jean Vitale and her husband Joseph, and Debbie Berry and her husband Ronald, six grandchildren, one great grandson, nephews, grand nephew and grand nieces.
June was a life long Angelian graduating from LA High School in 1954. She worked for the IBM Corporation for twenty-eight years retiring in 1987.
June loved California, especially the beaches, the golden sunsets, Big Sur, Carmel and San Fransisco. She also loved to travel and did so extensively with many trips to Hawaii and to Europe, Israel, Africa and India.
She was beautiful, gracious and a very caring person who will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
A memorial service will be held on September 6 at 10:00 am at the Rice Mortuary 5310 Torrance Blvd, Torrance, CA. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to the Alzheimer's Association www.alz.org/join_the_cause_donate.asp .
