Joseph M. Dumars, 97, passed away on November 7, 2019, in Torrance, CA. Born September 20, 1922 in New York, NY, Joseph is survived his wife Lela, his daughter Denise, and by numerous cousins. Joseph served in the Army Air Corps in WWII and later worked as an aerospace engineer at Northrop from the 1950’s through the 1980’s. He loved animals, gardening, reading, and traveling throughout the United States.
Private interment will take place at Pacific Crest Cemetery in Redondo Beach, CA, on Friday, November 22 at 11 AM. A public memorial will be held at Pacific Unitarian Universalist Church, 5621 Montemalaga Dr, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA 90275 on Saturday, December 14, at 2:30 PM.
