James "Jimmy" E. France

James was born September 19, 1966, in Redondo Beach, California to Eugene and Janet France (Lynch). James was the oldest of two children. James has a sister, Cindy and a nephew, Nick.

James graduated from Redondo Union High School, during this time he participated in the marching band, wrestling team and cross country and track. After high school he joined the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a very proud Veteran.

James worked at the University of Southern California (USC) as a culinary specialist. He loved to cook and loved his work family of more than 15 years.

James had many interests besides cooking, he loved music, dancing, gardening and just being around people. He was a very social person and enjoyed learning greetings in many different languages and liked to surprise people with greetings in their native language.

James had a protective instinct and was very loyal to his family and friends.

James was preceded in death by his Mother Janet, grandparents Raymond, Betty, Daniel, and Elvia, his aunt Joanne and uncle’s James (namesake) and Robert. He is survived by his father Gene, stepmother Maureen, sister Cindy, nephew Nick, brother-in-law Dan, many cousins, and his extended families in Arizona, Oregon, and San Diego along with many friends.

He will always be in our hearts and never forgotten. Rest in Peace Jimmy, we love you.
