George Roger Meller

Longtime Torrance resident and family man George Roger Meller, 81, passed away at home. He joined the Navy between wars and trained there to be a machinist. He worked for over 40 years at Hughes Aircraft where the engineers marveled at how he crafted intricate parts in the days before computers. George was a “do it yourself” kind of guy who could fix anything and make it run better than it did before. He loved working on the house and projects with his wife Noreen. George was a playful, endearing man who will be missed dearly by his children and grandchildren.

Celebrate his life at Baycities Lomita Church, 2043 Lomita Blvd, Lomita CA 90717. Saturday April 4th, held at 10:00am.

Survived by: Daughters- Michelle, Erin, Karla. Son – Daniel. 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren; Sister in-law Juanita Meller
