Emma Lopez

Beloved mother, wife, and friend Emma Natividad Lopez peacefully passed away on September 29, 2022 at the age of 66. She was surrounded by family and friends as she took her last breath after a courageous battle with cancer.

Emma was born in Marikina in 1956, the youngest of seven children. Even at a young age, she took on the huge responsibility of providing for her family. She was the pillar of the Natividads and was loved and adored by all. In 1999, she left the comforts of her home and everything she knew by bravely moving to the US to provide a better future for her children.

The word hard working does not even begin to describe Emma. She worked multiple odd jobs throughout her life and she is the epitome of the American Dream. She raised two successful children while doing all that she can to support her family back home. Her kindness and generosity is unparalleled and all who knew her will always have stories of how Emma changed their lives for the better.

Emma was survived by her loving family - her husband, Rene; children, Ernestine and Earl; in-laws, Errol and Jo; granddaughters, Zizi and Callie, and countless nephews and nieces. We all mourn the loss of the matriarch of our family, but we are comforted that our dearest Emma is now with her mother and siblings in heaven and is finally pain free.

To honor Emma’s memory and her everlasting legacy, we are holding a celebration of her life at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions, Rice Center in Torrance. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and remember her wonderful life.
