On January 18, 2008, Eleanor Haslam Naylor, passed away at her home in Palos Verdes where she lived for 34 years. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa in 1923, and lived in Pennsylvania, Michigan and New Jersey before moving to California in 1966.
Known as Ellie by her friends, she was active in the Peninsula Women’s Club and served as President. A homemaker most of her life, upon retirement she and her husband, Ken, moved to the California central coast, where they continued to play golf and travel extensively. Ellie returned to Palos Verdes upon Ken’s death after 52 years of marriage.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Naylor of Palos Verdes Estates, Ca; son, Kenneth Naylor (Karen) of Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca.; daughter Susanne Duits (John) of Huntington Beach, Ca.; and son, Craig Naylor of Costa Mesa, Ca. Her youngest daughter, Joanne Tompkins (Chris) preceded her in death. She leaves behind 8 grandchildren. She will be missed by her family and friends.
