Delbert Leland Smith - a 45 year resident of Hawthorne, California, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017. He was born in Illinois. Del was 97 years old when he died. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He retired from Northrop in 1982 and loved volunteering at RFK Hospital for many years. He loved playing bingo and going to Las Vegas and Hawaii.
He is survived by four children, Linda McLaughlin (Jerry), Nancy Almada (Bob), Chip Smith (Karen), David Smith (Robin), 22 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren.
The service will be held at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions- White & Day Center on October 13, 2017 at 10am. Reception immediately following. Aloha attire suggested.
