Darren passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on March 25, 2013. He was the beloved son of Carol and Donald Liess. He was the youngest of three siblings: Teresa Webster, Carlene Kerker and Leslie Liess. He graduated from Westchester High School, was Athlete of The Year in high school, attended Santa Monica Junior College, studied and played piano, studied and practiced karate, and was an avid collector of balls of all descript. Darren was a kind, warm, gentle soul who was greatly loved by his parents, family and friends, and will never be forgotten.
A viewing will be held at Rice Mortuary Chapel in Torrance from 4 to 8 p.m. on March 8, 2013. A 'celebration of his life' will be held at Journey of Faith in Manhattan Beach from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 22, 2013.
