Christopher Conway, 60, of Torrance, California passed away peacefully of liver disease on July 12, 2020. No services will be held at this time due to covid-19. Chris was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1960. He graduated from North Torrance High School in 1978 and worked in the IT field for 35 years. In 2018 he retired from Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital in Torrance after 30 years of dedicated service in their IT Department.
He enjoyed all types of outdoor activities such as surfing, skiing, scuba-diving, fishing, off-roading, and especially camping and shooting. An avid outdoorsman, Chris felt most at home out in nature whether alone or with his many friends. He loved his many cars, trucks and motorcycles. Horticulture was also one of his favorite hobbies. He had a pure love of animals. He had quite the collection of exotic fish over the years and was never far away from his two beloved Rottweilers, Bear and Britta. He also never missed a day without his cup of tea.
Chris had a big heart and a great laugh. He was a loving, loyal, and generous son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and friend. He will forever be missed.
Chris is survived by his mother Catherine Conway, his sister Kathleen Mester and husband Gregg Mester, his nephews Nicolas and Christopher Mester, his brother Kevin Conway, his sister Terri Galvin and husband Michael Galvin, his nephew Shane Galvin, his uncle John McDonald and numerous cousins.
