Mitchell, Charline Ann, a 36 year resident of Rancho Palos Verdes , passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2002 at home. She was born in Indianapolis , Indiana, and was 78. Charline was a member of the Neighborhood Church, the P.E.O. Sisterhood and a volunteer for both the Trinity Hospice and the Torrance Meals on Wheels program. Charline is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. (Ret.) James Mitchell; Daughters, Candace Foster of Kailua, HI, and Paula Tognoli of Gilroy, CA.; Granddaughters, Shannon Henderson, Christine Tognoli, and Heather Henderson; Grandson, Matthew Tognoli. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, July 19, 2002 at The Neighborhood Church in Palos Verdes Estates. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Neighborhood Church or The American Cancer Society.
