Betty Jo Moore

Betty Jo Moore, a two year resident of Mission Viejo, California and former 65 year resident of Torrance, California passed away on Thursday March 9, 2017 in Mission Viejo, California. Born in Slick Oklahoma, Betty was 91 when she died. Since 1950, she was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Gardena where she served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Betty is survived by daughters Deana (Jerry) Donaldson, Barbara (Buddy) Novotney, Melissa (Larry) Cottrell, Linda Moore; son, Tim (Phyllis) Moore; nine grandchildren - Jeff and David (Lindsay) Donaldson, Julie (Tom) Rizzuti, Ralph (Tracy) and Joshua (Maren) Novotney, Christopher (Jessica) Cottrell, Cathy and Colleen Cottrell, Carol (Chad) Brummel; nine great-grandchildren - Faith, Owen and Lucy Donaldson, Gavin Rizzuti, Libby Novotney, Tyler and Garret Brummel, Camille Cottrell, Elora Williams; brother John (Mary) Harris. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Harry L. Moore.

A visitation will be held on Sunday March 19 from 5-8pm (with a Rosary at 5:30pm) at Lighthouse Memorials & Receptions - McMillan Center - in Gardena. Funeral Mass will be held Monday March 20 at 10am, St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Gardena. A reception follows in the Lighthouse Reception Room at the Mortuary until 1:15pm, with a graveside service at Holy Cross in Culver City at approximately 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
