Barbara Jean Stringer

She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred Stringer a baseball professional she met at a Catholic singles event. In the early years of their marriage, Barbara enjoyed traveling with Al each baseball season all across the United States.

She was a devoted wife and mother. And she was a Eucharistic minister at St. James Catholic Church where she attended bible study classes and spiritual retreats. She also volunteered at Parishioners Federal Credit Union.

She is survived by her two children, Louis Stringer of Modesto, and Michelle Perrine of Torrance, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She will be remembered for her warmth, humor, inquisitive childlike curiosity, and charming smile.

Services will be held by Rice Mortuary.
