Barbara Louise Adams, a long time South Bay resident, passed away September 27, 2010 at the age of 65. Born in Texas, she moved to San Pedro in her younger years and graduated from San Pedro High School. Barbara was an active member of her church and community and a friend to many. She is survived by her sons, Cortez “Touche” Adams and Clayton Adams; her daughter, Detra Murray; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; and a host of friends and family. She was loved by all who knew her and will be deeply missed. A viewing will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Halverson, Stone & Myers Mortuary Chapel and funeral services will be held Thursday, October 7, 2010 at the House of Prayer Church of God in Christ in Los Angeles with burial to follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Rancho Palos Verdes.
