Agnes Martino Rogers passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012, in Harbor City, CA. She was 91 years old. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Roland Rogers, her daughters Linda (Alex) Areyan and Nancy Schow; her grandchildren Damian (Ashley), Analisa, and Ryan Areyan, and Kimberly (Andrew) Fossett; and her great-grandson, Ryder Fossett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nick and Victoria Martino, and her sister, Catherine (Henry) Groff. Agnes was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on April 24, 1921, and moved to Venice, CA, with her family in 1925. She graduated from Venice High School in 1940. She married Roland in 1946, and in 1954, they moved into their new home in Torrance, CA, with their two daughters. She was a Torrance resident for 56 years. Her funeral service with be held at Rice Mortuary at 5310 Torrance Blvd., in Torrance, on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. A reception will immediately follow in Rice's Lighthouse Reception Room until 5:00 p.m.
