Chère Françoise,

Nos sincères condoléances à toi et à ta famille. Yvon était un "bon vivant" et nous se souviendrons de sa belle personnalité et gentillesse. Il est maintenant au ciel avec notre maman Odette, les deux brillent et nous guideront chaque jour de nos vies.  "Peut-être qu'ils ne sont pas des étoiles mais plutôt des ouvertures dans le ciel où l'amour de nos chers disparus brille jusqu'à nous pour nous faire savoir qu'ils sont heureux" (proverbe esquimau). Nos chaleureuses pensées vous accompagnent pendant cette douloureuse épreuve.

My deepest condolences to the entire Landry family, I was so sad to hear about the passing of your father.  Monsieur et Madame Landry have always been so kind to me over the years.  They welcomed me, Carole’s sidekick into their homes, their cottage and even came to celebrate my wedding 28 years ago.  I only have fond memories of my time spent with the Monsieur Landry.  You were all so fortunate to have such a great father.

My Pepere was one of my favourite people in the whole world. I remember so fondly spending weeks at their house in Cornwall and the time that I got to visit them out east with my son Paxton, was incredible. 
He taught me so much about life and always made us laugh. 
He LOVED to sing and I’ll always remember him singing at my wedding. When  we were little we would beg him to bounce us on his knee and he would sing  “I love you a bushel and a peck... Dee Dee dada Dee” 
We always knew to be prepared when driving with Pepere that under no circumstances do we get pee breaks and that if you rode in the front seat, always be prepared to get the bejesus scared out of you when he grabbed your knee suddenly! 
My boys (Hudson, Dawson and Paxton) also had the privilege of knowing their great grandfather and loved him so much. I am so incredibly lucky that they got to know him.
 Going to his house in Toronto and climbing his stability pole was one of their favourite things to do. I know one of his favourite things to do was just watch them play, without saying a word, I knew it meant the world to him because he always smiled and his eyes would be bright. 
Pepere, you will forever be in my heart and soul and I know he is resting peacefully. You are missed beyond words. Xoxo Ale

Dad was never happier then when playing with his grandchildren, playing cards or playing a joke on someone and then laughing uproariously. He could always be counted on to slay whatever dragon was coming for his children or grandchildren. 

I have very fond memories with Pepere when I was young. He always made time for a game of crib. I am thankful I got to spend time with him on the east coast while I was in university. We are feeling fortunate that both of our kids were also able to meet and spend time with Pepere.  He will be missed greatly by us all. Love Jeff, Kara, Kai and Bo. 

My parents were together for 65+ years and were devoted to each other. I’m sure Mom will miss him saying to her before we would leave for the hospital “maman repose toi”!

Rire, musique et vivacité, Yvon nous accueille avec générosité et avec la complicité de Françoise, son épouse.  Inkerman d’Acadie te garde dans son coeur. Nos sympathies, nos prières et notre amitié à la famille Landry. 

Pepere loved his grandchildren & great grandchildren to bits. He always took such great pleasure in his visits with Scott. The two of them had a very special bond.
