My husband, Nate, and I are forever grateful to Bill and Christina for their amazing musicianship through solo and joined performances at our wedding ceremony and reception.  Bill was so giving of his time and talents. Music is such a powerful outlet. We're very fortunate that the selections they shared that day helped to make our special occasion so meaningful.  We're terribly sorry for your loss. Please know that we're thinking of you during this difficult time.

Dear Connie and family:
Bill was a part of my life for at least the last 15 years. Firstly he accompanied for my daughter Jacqueline Tsekouras as she sang at many Kiwanis voice classes which always included rehearsals prior to the event. Bill added the "icing on the cake" to the beauty of Jacqueline's performance. Secondly Bill was my accompanist for my school choirs for several years whether it be Kiwanis , TCDSB music festivals and many other choral events. One of my favourite memories was when we were discussing dates of practice he would always get out his teenie-tiny diary and write with this tiny pencil the info that was required... naturally his printing was also the tiniest I've ever seen! But it worked for him and he was always there, quite often early and 100% reliable and dependable! 
I will dearly miss Bill's  family Christmas letters ... perhaps Connie will carry on the tradition.
I know you are painfully missing your husband and father right now but as he wrote to me when my father died several years ago "you will not feel this way forever and you will be happy again ".
It was a pleasure to have Bill in my life.

To Connie and the Weldon Family...my sincerest and deepest sympathy on the loss of your dear husband and father, Bill Weldon.  I see Shelagh Cohen has been here just before me...I, too, met Bill at the Toronto Board of Education vocal music camp - Voices At The Boyne.  Through our days at camp in that first year together I also learned that Bill taught music at Frankland Community School when I was just down the street at Withrow Avenue Public School.  
Bill was a gentleman in every sense of the word.  A fine musician, teacher and outdoorsman.  I regret that I never did go on one of his night hikes with students and staff at the Boyne River Natural Science School during the Voices At The Boyne camps - I had heard from many after those hikes that it was the best thing ever - and the subsequent nights that he offered "the hike" during camp were usually oversubscribed.   Bill's Night Hike was definitely an "option" (the name given to the evening program where students and staff would sign up for what they wanted to do) highly sought after.  RIP Bill Weldon.  May songs of the angels welcome you home.

I had the pleasure and the honour of meeting Bill twice - once when he was an accompanist for our mutual friend, Violet, and once visiting him at  his home with Connie, along with Violet.  On our first meeting, I was privileged to pick him up from a subway station to bring him to a concert at a school, where he was to be the piano accompanist, and I had a chance to talk with him a bit as we drove. Even as complete strangers at that first meeting, I sensed a gentle and very special soul. Watching him play piano that evening, and then seeing him again around Christmas time more recently, did nothing but reinforce my first impressions. I send my condolences to Connie and the whole family, along with my hope that Bill's memory will be a blessing, with the knowledge that his kind and gentle nature  deeply touched even a stranger, and left a lasting and beautiful impression. 

On behalf of my mother Lucille, my sister Stacey and I, we send our deepest condolence to our dearest Connie, Lisa, Christina, Michael and their families.  My first introduction to  Bill started when I met his lovely wife Connie.  This special friendship began over 20 years ago and we never looked back.
Bill was indeed a special person who exemplified living life to the fullest ; whether he  was on his daily walk or traveling he demonstrated what it is to enjoy life.   As he taught my sister how to play the piano we saw first hand his love for music.  
Bill was a very optimistic person even when  he wasn't able to move around at his usual pace.  During  my last visit with him, he showed his usual interest in my life by inquiring about my work and my family.  That was Bill's way of staying in touch.
His dear wife Connie who stood by his side to the end demonstrated what it is to live out their marriage vow, she showed great strength as she kept everyone informed of Bill's progress.  Lisa, Christina, Michale and their families also showed their support to their parents and that was not unnoticed.
May the memory you all have of your loved one warm your hearts in days and years to come.

What a truly wonderful human being has left us.  Bill was the epitome of kindness, humility, caring, and thoughtfulness.  The circumstance by which I came to know Bill was the Toronto Board of Education's vocal music camp; "Voices at the Boyne".  Over many years, Bill became a dear friend and a person of guidance and mentorship.  He was unwavering in his devotion to students and to colleagues.  Along with a wonderful sense of humour, his depth of knowledge and understanding of music, nature, and the human psyche, were the strong and steadfast pillars which supported everything he did and everyone in his company.
It is with deep sadness that I send condolences to Connie and to Bill's family.
