Dear Clara and Katie

My husband Bruce and I went to Western with Bill.  I lived with Bill for two years; on Dutchess and Waterloo.  I have very fond memories of him.  Bill was a wonderful person - so fun and so kind. We were very sad to hear of his passing.  Our sympathies are with you both.  We can be reached at bcperrin@yahoo.com if there is anything that we can do to help you through this very difficult time

Bill had a great talent for making others smile. Always in the mood for a good laugh. He was a positive, energetic, sweet man. So many fond memories from many years back.

I worked with Bill at Squirlys for almost 4 years starting in 2004.  During my time there Bill was one of the most energetic and cheery people I have ever known.  Every morning he would come in with a smile and leave with a smile no matter what his day consisted of.  He had funny stories to tell and was always a big motivator when it came to talking about life and following your dreams.  Bill had an incredible ability to make people smile and his charisma was infectious and contagious.  Bill also got me out of a lot of trouble and was a delight when he would pop in on days unexpectedly just to say hello.
Bill you always encouraged me to continue with what I dreamed of doing.  You always told me, "follow your dreams Sarah, one day you will be a rock star and then you can bring me on the road!"
Bill was like a child at heart, all smiles and lived very much In The Moment which is something not a lot of people are able to do.
 Rest in Peace my friend, I will surely miss you.  It will be strange not seeing your smile when I venture out every once in a while back to Squirlys on Queen.

dear bill,

i worked only very shortly at squirly's a few summers ago. i say a few summers, but life seems to move so quickly that it may in fact have been 5 or 6 years ago. I still remember us opening the squirly's together on hot toronto summer mornings, where you could feel the humidity starting to infiltrate every corner and pore. I have always looked back at those mornings with nothing but delight as i remember our conversations over bad coffee, your entertaining stories as i had to clean the dishwasher, and of course,while writing out the menu, i would be entertained by your bill "boot" dance which i would tell my sister about when i got home. 
   I am saddened by your loss. thank you for having me in your life all of those mornings, mornings i will cherish now more than ever. 
     Rest In Peace, my friend. Teach the angels your boot dance.

To be across the ocean is difficult when hearing of such sad news. My heart goes out to Bill's family and friends. He was such a kind, generous, loving man; always understanding and sympathetic, always trying to help in any way he could; beautiful, kind, caring soul.
He will be greatly missed.
