William (Bill) John Lind

Peacefully, on April 26, 2012, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Judith Anne for 56 years. Loving father of David (Lynn) and Kelly. Proud grandfather of Kirsten, Allison and Ryan. Older brother to Gracia (Robert Janes). Beloved son of the late Joyce and Harvey Lind.

Bill was loved by all and brought so much joy and laughter to all who were privileged to know him. Fondly remembered by his family and friends as a loving and loyal husband, great dad, very involved “Boppa”, cool uncle, true friend, engaging storyteller, funny joker, wacky dresser, awesome partier, creative cook, good golfer, talented painter, fierce debater, bad e-mailer, super dental business salesman, great listener, fun euchre partner, treasured son, Muskoka lover and quite a character.

An eternal optimist, Bill made the best of every situation. Throughout his recent health challenges, he never complained, showing great strength and courage. He had extraordinary support from compassionate caregivers at York Central Hospital especially Dr. Carol Redstone. We also wish to thank his cardiologists Dr. Doug Wigle and Dr. Grace Chua for their many years of expert care.

Visitation will be held at the Jerrett Funeral Home "North York Chapel”, 6191 Yonge Street (south of Steeles Ave) on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Yellow Bus Foundation or SPCA would be appreciated.
