To the Serra family. We at Beth David continue to this day speaking highly of Vince's strong devotion to his synagogue family.  He respected each and every synagogue member and we respected him in return.  It was an honour knowing him.  I'm sure all his friends echo these sentiments.  May you find comfort from all your family and friends at this time.

It is with sadness that we heard of Vince's passing and we extend our condolences to the Serra family. Vince  will always hold a special place in mine and my family hearts and was a large part of our involvement at Beth David. He was a kind and caring individual, who was always there with a warm smile, a helpful hand and an easy going nature that endeared him to all of us at Beth David.  His concern for maintaining Beth David is a lasting and cherished memory we will always have of Vince. It was a honor to have known him.

It is with great sadness that we hear about the loss of our beloved Vince.  I had the pleasure of knowing Vince through my childhood and into adulthood.  In all of the time that I knew Vince he always engaged me with a friendly smile and a warm greeting.  He took care of our Synagogue family as if it was his own and his wonderful personality and work ethic left a lasting impression.  We loved Vince and will cherish his memory.

We remember Vince fondly as a caring member of the Beth David family. We have many warm memories of his time. We hope your memories bring you comfort at this sad time.

Our Beth David community is deeply saddened at Vince's passing, and extend our deepest condolences to all of you. In our tradition, we refer to someone like Vince as a "mentsh," meaning a fine, honorable, pleasant human being. No task was ever too demanding for him, and no task was ever completed without his full measure of warmth, kindness and diligence. When more than three hundred of our members attended his retirement luncheon, the emotions and the feelings of deep warmth for Vince filled the hall. We were very fortunate to have Vince as part of our synagogue team for so many years, have never forgotten him and thank you for sharing him with us over the years.

So sorry for your loss.  It has been a number of years but we always remember Vince's great warmth and easy going nature.   It is always so difficult when the family chain is broken.

I had the honour of knowing Vince for 30 years. He was the kindest and gentlest  man you could have ever known.  Loved his family to no end, helped anyone who ever needed a hand and always did it with a smile. He was a fighter right to the end. I will forever remember him walking into my house with a leaf of basil behind his ear. You will be sorrowly missed at all our family functions but i know you will be with us in spirit. I hope you and my mom can continue your incredible frienship and watch over all of us. May you rest in peace.

Yesterday the world lost a great man, my uncle Vince. He was a great father to his family and a great human being and he was my godfather. I was blessed to have known you and was blessed with your love and wisdom. Uncle Vince, people try to imitate you but you will never be duplicate.  You are one of a kind. One last note: on the night of your passing, me and your beloved son Domenic shared a bottle of your finest wine. The only thing missing was you. To my amazing neighbor Vincenzo. Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am. Vincenzo was an incredible man. He was always there to lend a helping hand without even asking. I remember him cutting my grass or shoveling my driveway just because. If you wanted to eat, there was always something cooking in his garage and it always came with a glass of his home made wine. He took pride in his vegetable and herb garden and he always had cute little bunnies for me to play with. Those bunnies used to disappear and when I asked where they went, he said he set them free. He never told me they ended up on the dinner table with a side of potatoes. I am so lucky to have had my children know Vincenzo as well and have their own memories about him to cherish.
