It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Elizabeth Cumberland early in the morning of Sunday August 5th, 2018 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
After retiring from a very successful real estate career she spent her days enjoying both her pool and beautiful gardens. Her most recent passion was photography (taking pictures of the insects and butterflies that resided in her garden). In the winter her focus shifted to both watching curling and animal shows on t.v. Throughout both winter and summer you could hear jazz music on the radio.
She is already missed by her sister Caralee Youdan, her nieces Julie Panakos and Jill Bovey. She will also be greatly missed by Donna-Marie Parsons, her "adopted daughter."
Cremation will take place and a private graveside service will happen at Stockdale Cemetery at a later date.
A Celebration of Susan's life will take place in the fall
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Toronto Wildlife Centre are appreciated.
The Toronto Wildlife Centre is a charitable wildlife rescue organization providing medical treatment and rehabilitation care to sick, injured or orphaned wild animals found by members of the public. Since opening in 1992, over 270 different species have been admitted for care, funded only through donations. It has grown into Canada’s largest and busiest wildlife centre and leader in wildlife rehabilitation.
