馮淑芳女仕, Miss Stella Shuk-Fong Fung, at the age of 98, left us peacefully surrounded by her family on the morning of October 16, 2024 at Mon Sheong Scarborough after a long and fulfilling life. A beloved sister, aunt, grandaunt, and great grandaunt, Stella, will always be remembered for her generosity and willingness to help.
Stella was born in Hong Kong on September 1926 , the second child to Fung Pak Lim [馮伯廉] and Fung Wong Pei Wan [馮黃佩雲]. Stella attended Hong Kong University and graduated in 1954 from the School of English Literature. Stella served as the Vice Head-Mistress at Po Kok Girls School in Hong Kong. As a dedicated English teacher, Stella will be remembered for her perseverance to ensure all her students at school, as well as her nephews and nieces and her grand nephews and grand nieces reached their highest potential. Stella was an avid painter of Chinese handscrolls and calligraphy. Stella’s lifelong love of travel saw her visit many continents.
In 1983, Stella immigrated to Canada to join her sister, 羅馮淑蘭 and family. Stella is survived by her older sister, 羅馮淑蘭; her nephews & spouses (Lo Sau Cheong) & Stella Lo, Victor & Rosemary, Sau Shing & Jenny, Thomas & Catherine; her nieces & spouses Isabel Fan (Anthony Fan), Leslie Yuen Yu Lo, Audrey Chiang & Kwan-Hsin Chiang; her 12 grand nieces and nephews; and 18 great grand nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on October 22nd at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto. M2M 4K4.
Visitation from 9:00 am to 9:30 am. Service starts promptly at 9:30 am. Interment service at Highland Memorial Gardens starting at 11:00 am, 33 Memory Garden Lane, North York, M2H 3K4.
All are invited to join the lunch reception that is arranged at the Legend Chinese Restaurant, 5 Glen Cameron Rd., Thornhill, Ontario L3T 5W2 at 12:15 pm to celebrate Stella Fung’s life of achievement.
