Scott was born on March 29th, 1963 in Toronto, Ontario to the late Judith (nee Kelly) and Glenn Simms. He has joined his parents, his oldest sister Belinda (David) Mullett & Belinda’s daughter Amanda (his niece) in heaven.
He is survived by his daughter, Carley (Will) Paterson and granddaughter, Chloe. Also left to mourn are his brothers, Rory, Gerry (Terri), Glenn, Mark and sisters, Londa and Michelle (John) Ferreira as well as nieces, (Charmaine, Ashley, Danielle, Savannah, Kenadie, Mackenzie) and nephews, (David Jr., Anthony, Paul Jr., Wyatt, Ryan, David, Kyle), his uncles and aunt and numerous longtime friends.
Scott was a magician, (self-professed) professional hairstylist, jokester and chef extraordinaire who loved cheering on his beloved Maple Leafs. But all of those paled in comparison to his favourite pastime - talking on the phone all hours of the day and night with his friends and family.
To commemorate Scott’s remarkable life and the memories we cherish, visitation will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home at 660 Kennedy Road in Scarborough from 12pm - 1pm on Thursday, October 31st, with a service to follow on-site at 1pm.
Mourners are encouraged to wear blue, in honour of Scott’s dear Leafs, who somehow managed to last win the Cup when he was just 4 years old. An experience many of us may never be so lucky to witness.
We will miss you always, Scotty 2 Hottie.
