surrounded by his loving
family.
Born on April 6, 1927 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Bob
dedicated his life to his three passions: music,
mathematics and golf. A professional trombonist, he toured with the National Ballet orchestra
and performed with many well- known musicians over the years including: Tom Jones, Tony Bennet and
Ray Charles. Bob was an illustrious Fellow of the Society of Actuaries.
He was also an avid golfer, dedicating his free-time to perfecting his golf swing.
Dearly loved brother of Joan; father
of Jennifer, Dollie, Robert and Julie;
grandfather of Bonnie and Joseph and
great friend of Jim Weber.
Visitation on Sunday, March 5th,
2:00-6:00 p.m.
at Giffen-Mack Funeral Home,
2570 Danforth Ave, Toronto.
Celebration of Life on Monday,
March 6th, 2:00 p.m. at Little Trinity Anglican Church,
425 King St E, Toronto. Reception following.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Bob Nix Memorial Award which will provide financial
support to a student of music with a specific focus on trombone performance in the
Bachelor of Music program at Humber College.
