Rhona Beverley McDonald

Rhona Beverly McDonald passed away at the age of 67 on April 9th, 2025 at Michael Garron Hospital.

Rhona was a beloved wife to Michael for a wonderful 46 years and a dear Mother to Michelle (John)

Rhona was born in Vryheid, South Africa and raised in Zambia and Rhodesia. She spent 44 years calling Canada her home.

Rhona's smile was contagious. Her compassion for others shown bright and her positive energy was felt by many. She was a devout Catholic and prolife. She was a real strong woman in faith. Her love for the LORD was evident and a real inspiration. Rhona was part of the CWL (Catholic Woman's League) and taught children's liturgy for 20 years. She also loved helping out in the church in various other ways.

Rhona was an incredibly talented hairdresser (master stylist) for close to 50 years. She was able to fulfill a long life dream of owning her own salon & spa. She was truly passionate about doing hair, and building relationships, connections, and many wonderful long term friendships.

Rhona had a real love for gardening, nature, art, photography, cooking, travelling, music, dancing, making lampwork glass beads for jewellery, hiking, and swimming in the lakes and oceans.

Rhona leaves behind her sister Lorna (Alistar) brother Gordon (Erika) nephew Scott (Clair) niece Kelly (Tomy) great nephew Ben, and great nieces Sophie and Isabelle.

Rhona will be dearly missed by lots of family, friends, clients, neighbours, and all those who loved her.

Rhona is now in the arms of the LORD up in heaven singing with the angels, and praising GOD with all her family and friends that too are in heaven.
