Phillip,  I will never forget you, we had lots of fun in our life together. We became a family in the late spring of 1978 and got married on August 31, 1979. We had sad times too. I remember the time Tanya and Sara and I came and stayed with you for a week or two. I remember the time I came to visit you at the Jarvis House you were telling me how much your back and feet were hurting. I loaned you my sneakers to go for coffee you told me when you got back that I had lost my sneakers because you said they were so comfortable on your feet. The next day I took you to the store and bought you your own pair. I told you, they were to make up for all the Christmas presents I missed. You promised to call me every month to let me know you where okay. You kept your word. I always enjoyed our talks over the years. I'm so glad that we had the chance to be a family.

I want to write the perfect words, something to explain why you mean so much.  It's hard to show people how much I care, how much I look up to you. You were adventure, you were excitement, you were "cool" lol, you were a gentleman and you were love. 
Every time I talked to you, or saw you, you're first question would be, " Is, so and so, being good to you?" And next it was, " Good, if that changes you let me know." 
It's hard to tell people how much I love you without telling them what you've done for me. You chose to be my Father, you chose to care for me, you were always happy to see me and every single time I called you said I made your day. 
I didn't understand how I could mean so much to a man I rarely saw... Then I became a parent and it all makes sense now. I would move a mountain if she would only ask me to. 
I thought money was the answer. I went away to work so she would have what she needed and not have to deal with my demons in her life but even now you're teaching me.  Our demons are never gone, just tamed and all the money in the world can't bring back your love
Time, love and memories are all that matter. 
You are loved by so many...

Phillip  Allen Doucette , age 64, passed away on June 10th at St. Michael's hospital after his longtime friend June McCracken  and his daughter, Tanya Doucette had said their goodbyes.  He was the son of the late Kathleen ( Harrison ) and Joseph Doucette.  Phillip was raised in Urbania, Nova Scotia and made Toronto, Ontario his home for the last 45 year.  He is survived by his daughter, Tanya,  Besides his daughter, Tanya (Jack), his long time friend June and her children, Grand-daughter Staci Buttle and great Grandson Oliver Jerome, sisters Kathleen Dunlap ( Donnie ), Violet Simon, Diana Doucette (Owen), Edna  Goodall ( Leighton ), Annette Farewell ( Robert ), Rose Doucette ( Jonathan ), brothers Arthur and Joseph Doucette.   He was special family to Cesar, Rosie Lilly and Alexander who thought of Phil as grandpa.  He was predeceased by both parents, infant brother, Richard, brothers Harold, Cyril, and Wilfred Doucette and sister Christina Nickerson.  Funeral to be  held at Rosar-Morrison on June 26 2020 at 11.  


























Sad moments are shared when the time comes to say goodbye. I know it’s been a long while. You were always my favourite Uncle. And visits (in TO and NS) with you and June were always so adventurous and fun, especially for an impressionable little girl. You’ll always have a place in my heart, Uncle Peewee. Rest In Peace.

A piece of my heart left on June 10 2020  .💔. he was my brother.. my friend ..sometimes a pain in my butt ..always wanting to be the big brother .. thank you for always been there.. late night calls..sharing your home in Toronto ..letting me see life in your way .Spending Xmas in Toronto with you. Our on going battle you been a die hard Montreal Canadien fan and me Boston Bruins, and always loosing to me in a game of marbles as kids . First of all I know most of you know him as Phillip or Phil, But I grew up knowing him as Peewee.
So he'll always be Peewee. I remember the first time coming to Toronto with my kids to stay with Peewee & he took us to a Toronto maple leafs game, He was kind, good & made our stay something to remember, But what I truly loved is when he made his way home to be there for me with the death of my son. I will miss his yearly calls, We love you. Be in peace and know you live on.
