Peggy was born in Frampton Cotterell Gloucestershire on April 25, 1932. She grew up in Shipton Moyne and went to school in Tetbury. She graduated from Cheltenham General Hospital Nursing program in 1950 as a State Registered Nurse. She worked at London's Middlesex Hospital and went onto study to be a State Certified Midwife; a calling that she was very passionate about. She met Bill Vincent at a dance in Cheltenham in 1952 and after a long courtship and correspondence, married him in 1957 and they immigrated to Canada. They settled in Toronto, where she worked for the Salvation Army Grace Hospital and subsequently moved to Scarborough where they raised their 3 children and were actively involved in the Scarborough Historical Society. They also built a cottage on Oxtongue Lake which was lovingly nicknamed Peggy's Folly. She will also be missed by many of her friends and neighbours.
The family are extremely grateful for the love and support provided by Bill and Peggy's neighbours over these past many years. We feel very blessed to have had you in our parents’ lives.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s name to the Salvation Army.
