On Thursday, June 29th, 2023 in her 70th year, Norma Jean Grossi was called home by God to the gates of heaven with open arms from Her loving Father, William Robert Ballantyne, her Mother Mary Sophie O’Reily Ballantyne, and all four of her older brothers Billy, Jack, Gordie, and Dougie. As she peacefully crossed over, she was surrounded and loved by the family which she created with her former Husband Nunzio Grossi; Her son, Saverio (Sam), her daughter Elisa Jean, her daughter-in-law and son-in-law Sabrina and Domenic, her adoring grandchildren Summer (Anthony), Adam, Michael, Alyssa, Arianna and, Anthony, alongside her little sister Maralyn. Those that know Norma Jean, either a relative or a friend, know that she always wears her heart on her sleeve. The love that she has for her family is boundless. Her unconditional love and selflessness will forever be an inspiration to all that has had the pleasure of knowing her. Beyond her role as a family woman, Norma Jean will always be known for her endless storytelling and heavy commitment to wanting to help the people around her. As life can be unexpected, Norma Jean knew to always live life to the fullest and to live one day at a time. Whether it was by scratching a lottery ticket, having a cup of coffee, playing a game of solitaire,or simply spending time with her loved ones, she found a moment of peace no matter how fast the world around her was turning. Regardless of the situation, she was sad to leave her family and friends on earth but was ready to be reunited with her family and little chihuahua Sarah up above. Look for signs, she’ll be leaving them around. Always remember, Never Goodbye, See You Later.
