I'm so sorry to hear of Maryanne's passing & am soirry we didn't keep in touch over the many years we knew each other.  We were best friends at St. Peter' s High School & would go downtown the first day of each year to buy our textbooks.  She would have been so pleased to know that I eventually returned to the school & taught there for almost 20 years!   The Cumberlands always opened their home to Maryanne's friends.  She will be missed & my thoughts & prayers are with you at this sad time.

With great sadness that I heard of Maryannes passing. We go back to 1950's at St Peters HS and Dominion Store jobs with Dad Charlie, for some reason I always called Maryanne "Goofy" reason escapes.  We have kept in touch over the years, and always enjoyed the time spent though of late only by mail and e-mail. My sincere condolences to her family, my prayers are with you.

I was an Operating Room nurse at the Wellesley for 20 years  I spent many nights working with Maryanne and the orthopedic team.  We were always laughing!

I worked with Maryanne in the Lithotripsy department of The Wellesley Hospital for about ten years.  And, I know she liked to laugh. So, I will leave with this quote from Woody Allen:  "It's not that I'm afraid to die.  I just don't want to be there when it happens."   Bon Voyage.

It is so sad to hear of Maryanne's passing....she will suffer no more and may she rest in peace.  I will always remember her smiling face and friendly nature.  The funny thing is that my son mark savel also had the pleasure of meeting Maryanne and her husband  by delivery meat to them .  It was a coincidence that they were his customers  and when I noticed her name and address at my house I realized that it was the same Marianne Healy  I knew.  What a small world , and my son said nothing but good words about Maryanne and her husband Jim. You had a wonderful wife Jim ... God bless you and your family . Rosie savel

I met Maryanne as a fellow technologist at the Wellesley. However I remember her more for all the get-togethers held at her home. One evening stands out....there was Maryanne and Jim, Mr and Mrs Cumberland, Aunt Catherine, Kathy Campbell, my husband and me. So many laughs, such a fun time. Maryanne and Jim always the most gracious hosts. Jim our thoughts are with you, the Cumberland and Healy families.

Maryanne's generosity touched many people over the years whether it was Christmas cards to soldiers overseas,  donations to victims of natural disasters or cards and gifts to family and friends.  She will be remembered as a person with a great smile and a giving heart.
