In her 86th year of Scarborough, Ontario, passed away July 2nd, 2019, under the excellent care of the nurses and doctors at North York General Hospital. She was born February 27, 1933 in St. John, New Brunswick to Herbert Nealey and Alice Nealey (McNaught) 1908-1937 and raised by her step mother Ida Nealey (Spicer). Sister to Murray, Charles, the late Ronald known as Rex(Gail) and the late Paul Nealey of NB.
Doreen is preceded in death by her late husband Oscar Theodore Arnesen (Tiny) and son Murray and
wife Winifred (Freda), her daughter Sharon Marie Sharp and son James Arnesen. She is survived by her children Nicky Martin, David, Barb Cordeiro (Carlos), Cortney (Glenda) Neil and Steven, and also her 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. At her bedside continuously laughing, crying, singing and playing her favourite country music were her loving grandchildren Dennis (Ashley), Alexis (Viner) , Tessa, Hollie, Ben (Amanda) and Cortney (Glenda). She will be missed by her childhood friend Doreen Wilson and family of Toronto. They met in grade school and remained friends for almost 75 years. In our hearts she will always be. Her heart, her love, her voice and her smile forever imprinted in our
memories.
Visitation will be held Wednesday July 17th, 2019 from 11am – 1pm at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, Ontario followed by a Service in the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Ajax, Ontario.
