Peacefully in the morning of the 25th of September, after a short illness. Born at Clonakilty, County Cork in 1916, Maddie was a retired employee of the T. Eaton Co. Ltd., and travelled widely with her beloved sisters, Elizabeth and Wilma, who both survive her; she remained active in the Anglican Church of the Resurrection and the Sons and Daughters of Ireland Protestant Association until recent weeks, and will be sorely missed. Visitation to take place at the Giffen-Mack Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Avenue, Toronto (Main St. subway station) from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, the 1st of October, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m in the Giffen-Mack Chapel.

O HEAVENLY FATHER, help us to trust our loved ones to thy care. When sorrow darkens our lives, help us to look up to thee, remembering the cloud of witnesses by which we are compassed about. And grant that we on earth, rejoicing ever in thy presence, may share with them the rest and peace which thy presence gives;through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
