Maria Omela San Juan

Maria is reunited with her husband, Efigenio San Juan of 37 years whom she deeply loved and missed. She is survived and will be lovingly remembered by her sister Erlinda. Her loss will also be felt by her many families and friends.

Throughout her personal life, Maria was a generous and thoughtful woman who always wished to see those around her succeed. Whether helping put someone through school or offering a place to stay, Maria always did what she could to help the people she loved. Such a loving and kind disposition as Maria’s is rare to find and made her a role model to all those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Friends and family are invited to join the family in celebrating Maria's life. A visitation will be held Sunday, May 28, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON. A funeral service will occur Monday, May 29, 2023 at 9:30 AM at St. Paschal Baylon Church, 92 Steeles Ave West, Thornhill, ON. A committal service will occur Monday, May 29, 2023 from at Holy Cross Cemetery, 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill.

The family also wishes to express immense gratitude to the staff at Sunnybrook Hospital who provided her great comfort, care, and compassion in her final days.
