Maria Paz Hernandez Beltran

Ma. Paz Beltran (née Hernandez) passed away on February 28th, 2022, in Toronto, Ontario in her 94th year. She was born in San Miguel, Bulacan, Philippines on June 2nd, 1927 to Virginia (née Bautista) and Martin Hernandez. Maria obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at Philippine Normal University. Maria got married and raised 4 children with her husband, Federico, built a successful business, migrated to Canada in 2006 to join her son, Rico and family, in East York.

A matriarch of the family, known for her exceptional cooking, and love spending her time with her grandchildren. Maria will be forever remembered as a devoted wife, caring, loving and generous mother, grandmother and aunt; hard worker by her family and friends. Maria's passion was in her faith in the Lord, and in her quiet moments would love to pray the rosary, spending time in the church and community activities.

Maria rejoins her parents; her beloved husband, Federico Beltran; her siblings, Felicidad Hernandez, Carlito Hernandez and Luisito Hernandez; her daughter, Priscilla Ferrer; her grandchildren, Clara Beltran and Amado Ferrer, in Eternity.

Maria leaves behind her children, Pamela Garcia (Les Lowery), Nelson Beltran (Lorna), and Rico Beltran (Yvette); grandchildren, Carmela Araya (Andrew), Jaybeenel Beltran, John Christian Beltran (Patricia), Julie Anne Beltran, Angela Ferrer, Maricris Rivera (Michael), Camille Tan (Roger), Jonjon Ferrer (Daisy), Michael Ferrer, Angeline Beltran and Angelo Beltran; great-grandchildren, Duke De Castro, Marcus Rivera, Marco Rivera, Mateo Rivera, Daylan Ferrer, Andrea Araya and Carlisle Tan; her sisters, Lolita dela Fuente and Milagros Suarez; and many more family members and friends.

Her family would like to thank all the staff at 1 East at Fudger House for their years of compassionate care.

A funeral service for Maria Paz will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel, 467 Sherbourne Street, Toronto, ON M4X1K5, followed by a visitation with reception from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
